Michael McAllister, CPA is a sole practitioner providing client-focused management advisory, accounting and taxation services to individuals, small business and the self-employed.
After more than three decades in industry, Michael took a well-deserved break before embarking on the next phase of his career, that of assisting small businesses and entrepreneurs maximize their profits and business growth potential.
Michael has experience at various levels in industries as diverse as consulting engineering, mortgage insurance and retail gas marketing. His management experience spans governance, finance, accounting, strategic planning, IT, facilities, and operations. Most recently, as the former Chief Financial Officer and a Principal of a leading consulting engineering firm, Michael helped shape and grow a small 40-person firm into a 225 person multi-disciplinary firm with three offices in the GTA and an office in the U.S.
Michael combines his extensive management and boardroom experience with his “roll-up-your-sleeves” operating style to convert business ideas into reality.
Michael firmly believes in giving back to the community through his volunteer activities. He currently sits on the board of the Northumberland Hill Hospital, and several board committees, and is the current chair of NHH’s Finance and Audit committee. Michael previously served as a Director with the Northumberland United Way for six years and spent two years as its Treasurer. Michael has also served as Assistant-Treasurer, and then later served four years as Treasurer, of the Rotary Club of Cobourg.
